36.) AGENT ORANGE IN SIX NATIONS DRINKING WATER: DDT and AGENT ORANGE were manufactured in Elmira, Ontario between the 1940s into the 1970s. These deadly chemicals and the toxic waste from making these chemicals were dumped in open lagoons that simply overflowed and chemicals were also poured directly into Canagagigue Creek which empties into and feeds the Grand River - the only source of drinking water for the People and Children of Six Nations. AGENT ORANGE IS DIOXIN, ONE OF THE MOST TOXIC AND DEADLY CHEMICALS, KNOWN TO THE HUMAN RACE.
This is being presented here as soon as possible, so the People and Children of Six Nations, can make their own decisions about drinking water from the Grand River. I realize the Six Nation People don't have a choice, because the Grand River is their only source of drinking water and some cannot afford bottled water.
It is up to the people of Six Nations to call for immediate answers and action, if that is what they decide today, now.
Much of what is offered here is from the internet and reasonable opinions are drawen from that information and personal experience.
I just found out about this for the first time, a few days ago. I cannot in good conscience, let another day go by without putting this information out as is. No other Six Nation person that I have spoken to, knew of this information. No Phd's have ever spoken about this. How is this possible - the only explanation is, it was purposefully kept secret from the Six Nation People. Shock is the only reaction I can give you, at this time. As far as I know, this is the first time anything has been written or spoken of, so the people of Six Nations, will become publicly aware that DDT and Agent Orange was manufactured in Elmira Ontario. And the deadly poisonous chemicals from the DDT and Agent Orange manufacturing plants, flowed from Elmira, and down the Grand River, for Six Nations People and their Children to drink. It can be happening right up to this day. It is reasonable to say you never know what poisonous chemicals are coming down the Grand River at any given time, and are being pulled in to the Six Nation Drinking Water Filtration Plant.
These deadly cancer causing chemicals, along with other chemicals, still flow and leach through the Grand River today, and a reasonable person would say, into the Six Nations drinking water. Six Nation people have been getting poisoned in various ways from the Grand River, since the 1940s to this day and they are unaware of it.
The only reasonable explanation is, it was purposefully kept secret from them by the Canadian government and Ontario Ministry of Environment. And an investigation also needs to be started into how much the "elected chiefs and band council system" of Six Nations, knew about this and when. They were directly involved from the beginning when Six Nations first started getting there drinking water from the Grand River. And they should have the answers as to why the high-tech water filtration system was recently built in 2013 for Six Nations. Didn't they ask, why do we need such a high-tech system?
These three entities: The Canadian Government, Ontario Ministry of Environment and the Six Nations "elected chiefs and band council system" are the only ones that Six Nation people should direct their attention to. They are the only ones who have the answers. Six Nation people must keep aware, that the government will try to get Six Nation people to blame and fight each other, over this potential poison drinking water issue. Six Nation people must stand as a unified front to confront these three entities for answers.
What I'm presenting here is not a secret to the white people. It's on the internet. Just do searches like: "is there agent orange in the Grand River" or "is there Agent Orange in Six Nation drinking water?" or "agent orange manufactured in Elmira Ontario." The articles seem endless.
There is a documentary that's been out since 2020 that's titled: "Toxic Time Bomb" by Ron Harpelle. The focus of this documentary is said to be: how to clean up this Agent Orange contamination in Elmira and how "a community deals with a problem that is going to be there forever."
The same thing can now be said about Six Nations. This is a problem that Six Nations is going to have to be dealing with forever.
Attention Indigenous filmmakers and documentarians, you need to start on this immediately. Start interviewing Six Nation people. I told you previously in article 18,) in this blog, about poisonous drinking water and other chemical poisons in the Grand River. In the 1970s when I was a child, we were swimming in the Grand River and when we got out of the water, we had an oily film on us. We had to go home immediately and wash ourselves with soap and well water. Six Nation people said at that time that poisonous chemicals were coming down the Grand River from a "tire plant" further up the Grand River. When I heard that, I thought in my child mind, what kind of poisons can be coming from a place where they make tires? I believed it to be some kind of harmless oil.
Now, just in the last couple days, I learned that the chemical plant in Elmira that made Agent Orange, was called Uniroyal Chemical. Now it all makes sense- but only in the last few days. So Six Nations people had a little bit of the answer at that time, because they probably heard the word "Uniroyal" and thought it was a tire plant. When in fact it was a chemical plant called Uniroyal Chemical, to manufacture Agent Orange for the Vietnam War. And before that, at the same site, a company named Naugatuck, manufactured the herbicide/weed killer DDT, in the 1940's. DDT is now illegal and a banned herbicide that almost caused the extinction of many birds and eagles. As just one example, of just how deadly this chemical is. The use of DDT, resulted in DDT getting into the food chain and caused the birds eggshells to become so thin and brittle, that they would break in the nest under normal conditions . In the 1970's my uncle Ted stop fishing in the Grand River becuse the fish had tumors. Just 2 weeks ago, I spoke to a young Six Nations sportsmen who said he spearfishes further up the Grand river. He said that the fish that they spear, have tumors the size of golf balls sticking out of their sides. So this is not something that is past history and we don't have to think about it now or do something about it now. And in the 1980s, my Uncle Tom lived in Oshweken, behind the plaza, in the two-story apartment building. He found out some how, that there were bad chemicals in the water and he would go knocking door to door, telling people not to drink the water because there was poison in the water. Ever since then, my family and myself have tried to never drink water from the Grand River. My family and myself have been telling people not to drink river water for decades. We just didn't know that Agent Orange and DDT, would be two of the chemicals, we were so concerned about.
There's another documentary in the works by Bonita Wasler and Mike Heitmann. But in these documentaries it seems, they only interview white people living in Elmira. It seems none of the people interviewed are Six Nation People, whose only source of drinking water is still the Grand River. As mandated by the Canadian government. And remember, Six Nations is surrounded by pipelined water coming from either Lake Ontario or Lake Erie. Why was Six Nations not allowed to simply tap into these pipelines, instead of building a $41 million dollar high-tech drinking water filtration system? And why are Six Nation People and their Children still forced to get their drinking water from the poisonous Grand River?
The Canadian Government and the Ontario Ministry of Environment knew about these deadly Agent Orange poisonous contaminations, going back to 1976, 1979, 1987 and 1988 when the dioxin by-products of manufacturing Agent Orange were found leaking out of the Elmira manufacturing facility and emptying into the Grand River. In 1989, the Ministry of Environment(MOE) revealed that Agent Orange manufacturing chemicals, were found in the aquifer underneath Elmira, because it was found in Elmira's drinking water. A spokesperson of the Ministry of the Environment stated in a newspaper article at that time, that the Ministry had kept it a secret, because the "ministry did not tell people because the pollutant was not in the drinking water". What the spokesperson for the Ministry of Environment is actually saying, is that the pollutant was not detected in the white people's drinking water, until around 1989.
But it had to already be in the Six Nations drinking water from the time when Six Nations first started to get there drinking water from the Grand River and there was no high-tech water filtration system then, not until 2013.. But it would appear the Ministry of Environment didn't care if it was Indian people drinking water contaminated with Agent Orange chemicals. Otherwise they would have notified Six Nations people of this Agent Orange contamination in the Grand River, in 1989, or even sooner. But The Miinistry of Environment should never have even allowed a water intake plant being built on the Grand River for Six Nation people, in the first place. This is a reasonable conclusion.
From just my few hours of hurried research, the original Grand River water intake plant for drinking water for Six Nations, was first built in 1987. That's 2 years before they found the deadly chemicals in Elmira's drinking water. But 11 years after they found and knew that deadly chemical pollutants were on and off site of the Uniroyal Chemical plant site, now called Chemtura, and leaking into the Grand River. Chemicals were leaking from the plant grounds, and chemicals were dumped into Canagagigue Creek from the 1940's to the 1970's. Canagagigue creek empties into the Grand River. That means that at leaast 11 years before they built the first drinking water intake for Six Nation people to drink water from the Grand River, they knew of this DDT and Agent Orange contamination in Elmira, that was emptying into the Grand River.
Up until 1989, Elmira got their drinking water from a large aquifer under the city, until the chemical by-products for making Agent Orange were discovered in Elmira's drinking water. Only then did the Ministry of Environment tell the white people in Elmira, what was going on. But they never told the people of Six Nations at that time and never have told the people of Six Nations. The Ministry of Environment, full well know that Six Nations gets their drinking water from the Grand River.
A reasonable person could say the Canadian government may have purposefully poisoned the people of Six Nations and their children with Agent Orange and other poisons in the Grand River. Is this the reason why Six Nations got the high-tech water filtration system in 2013, costing $41 million dollars. Are the Six Nation People and their Children guinea pigs to see if this filtration system works? Is the Canadian government secretly compiling the diseases, sicknesses and cancers that Six Nation people are getting? And matching them up to the known diseases caused by Agent Orange?
It was just announced on a local tv news channel last week, that there was going to be a mobile cancer screening unit on Six Nations.
It is said that there is a "cancer red zone" on Six Nation. Have you ever heard of this? Find out if it is true. Does the Six Nations "elected chief band counsel ststem" have a gag order on this poison water from the Grand River ? Ask Six Nation "elected chief and band council" about all this, now.
Demand answers for our children, now.
From my open research on the internet, what the Canadian government is doing to clean up Elmira's contaminated aquifer, is spending millions of dollars to install a high-tech drinking water filtration system to pull out the contaminated aquifer water below Elmira, then pump it through this high-tech filtration system that has: "carbon filters, UV light and oxidation to break down organic compounds, bacterial digestion to remove ammonia and polishing stage with sand particles", to bring it up to Ontario drinking water standards. Then they pump it directly into the Grand River. If this facility brings the contaminated Elmira drinking water up to Ontario Ministry of Environment drinking water standards, why isn't it just pumped into the to the drinking water system of the residents of Elmira, instead of it being pumped in the Grand River?
In 1989 after the contamination was found in Elmira's drinking water, a pipeline was put in place from Waterloo into Elmira for their drinking water. Elmira is still getting their water pipelined in from Waterloo.
Is Elmira's hi-tech water filtration system, the same high-tech filtration system that is in Six Nations now? I have been told that Six Nations watetr filtration facility does have a "uv light component."
And remember Six Nations has always had clean drinking water on all sides, that is either from Lake Ontario or Lake Erie. But Six Nations is not allowed to tap into these clean water pipelines that go to the white people. And these pipelines have been there for decades. Why are Six Nation people forced get their drinking water from the polluted Grand River? Because the Canadian government gives them no choice, they must drink from the poisonous Grand River. They cannot afford bottled water.
Diseases and Cancers caused by Agent Orange sometimes don't show up for 20 or 30 years. The US government has determined that Agent Orange is responsible for birth defects . Six Nation children are drinking and using this water, today. We need answers now.
Find out for yourself if this information is true. Just about everyone has a smartphone. Simply start doing searches about "Agent Orange in the Grand River." This information is as close as your smartphone. Look up the 2020 documentary titled: "Toxic Time Bomb" by Ron Harpelle. He does a interview on Facebook about his documentary.
It is our teaching that says, if you know something and do not tell the people, there is a punishment for that.
