125.) A Seneca elder recently revealed these two old prophecies. 1."There will come a time when the young will not listen to us." meaning will not listen to the elders. 2."There will come a time when the leaders, the leadership will not know what to do. It will be the people without positions who will know what to do." And also in this article, it is discussed that there is now the strong apperance that the BIA has some control of the Six Nation Confederacy. (15 min. read)

It certainly appears that these prophecies are what is occurring now, among some of the Haudenosaunee people, as predicted by those who are no longer here. 

These warnings, are sometimes called "prophecies". When they were given long ago, they were called by the English translation: "prophecies". Now that they are happening. we should heed them as warnings, as a way to get things back on track.

1."The young will not listen to us." 

Meaning the elders. This is showing itself in many ways now. When some of the young who have learned our language through government funded programs, speak our language, the older fluent speakers do not understand what they're saying. When the young language learners are told this, they can sometimes become upset. Some of the young language learners say the books starting from the 1700s, written by the white Jesuits, historians, linguists and anthropologist, have the real meanings of our words. Not what the elders tell them what our words mean. 

This is proving an old saying among the European empires. That "If you stop a people from speaking their language, you can change the meaning of their words and change their history." This is what the residential schools did. Google search this quote and see what you come up with.

Some of the same thing is also occurring with our doings in the Longhouse. Some of the young disregard what the elders have passed on since our Creation. They say those same books written by the white people, carry the real truth about our Longhouse. They cite old audio recordings from the Smithsonian, for example, as being the real way to do things in our Longhouses. They do not know that many of those recordings were done wrong on purpose, during that time in the past when it was recorded. As it was against our belief to have our ceremonies recorded in such a way. And the people who did this, did it to get money to support their families. If anyone told them they shouldn't have done that, they would say they didn't record the real way we do things. That they purposefully mixed things up, by leaving things out, or they added to it. 

The young will not listen to us, the elders.

2. "There will come a time when the leaders, the leadership will not know what to do. It will be those without position who will know what to do."

"...those without position who will know what to do" means the people of the Longhouse. It means the people of the Confederacy will know what to do.

"...those without positions will know what to do" does not mean lawyers or PhD's, either indigenous or non-indigenous.

Some of the young leadership do not listen to the few remaining elders. There are now more young than elders, in our leadership. Some of the young do not know or remember, the accomplishments or mistakes from our past. 

There is now the strong appearance that the leadership no longer knows how to call a Grand Council. It is those ones without position who know how. Again the meaning of "those ones without position" do not mean those educated in the white man education system or lawyers.

There is now the strong appearance that the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the US and Band Council of Canada are the ones who are getting in control of the Confederacy and the calling of a Grand Council.

There is now the strong appearance that there are people in positions in the Confederacy, who are working to control the Confederacy, for the BIA and Band Council.

There is now a strong appearance that individual Haudenosaunee Nations are making treaties and agreements with New York State and the federal government without telling the people of that nation and without getting it approved by Grand Council. These treaties and agreements are not binding because they have not let the people of that nation know and have not received approval of Grand Council. 

Check out New York State Governor Hochul's website on these individual Haudenosaunee Nations making agreements with New York State, that have not gone through Grand Council. 

A Haudenosaunee chief actually stated recently, without hesitation, that "oh yeah, deals are being made," by individual Haudenosaunee Nations with New York State, without going through Grand Council.

Let us recall from article 124, the 1929 congressional hearing where it clearly stated on page 4870:

"Parties representing the Six Nations had no power constitutionally on the Indian side to sell, without the consent of the people of each nation, and without the consent and ratification of the general council of the Six Nations Confederacy. The loss of Six Nations citizenship to the Delaware Indians is an example of the punishment due to any Six nation people who violated this provision of the Iroquois's Constitution."

In 1929, A person in violation of the above provisions of the Iroquois constitution resulted in the revocation of their Six Nations citizenship. It must have been considered treason against the Confederacy, for such a severe penalty.

The description of  "general council of the Six Nations" on page 4870, is the same as "Grand Council of the Six Nations" in today's understanding and meaning.

And from blog article 93., from the same 1929 congressional hearing, page 5105, is the transcript statement by Confederacy Mohawk Chief Julius Herne, stating to the chairman of the congressional hearing committee, Senator Lynn J Fraser and Mr. Manly who was The Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York, that it is against the confederacy constitution to make any agreements with the state or federal government without going first to the people of that nation and then through approval of the Six Nations Grand Council.

What now appears to be happening between individual Haudenosaunee Confederacy nations and the State of New York and with the federal government, is completely against the Six Nations constitution, as set up by our Peacemaker.

Is this the untying of the tightly bound six arrows of the Confederacy? Where the tightly bound six arrows cannot be broken, but each individual arrow, by itself will easily be broken by the State of New York and the US government. Is this how each remaining individual   sovereign, Haudenosaunee nation will be broken, just as the Oneida and Cayuga nations located in New York State have been broken, and turned into BIA controlled, tribal governments. And placed completely under the control of the NYS-federal-tribal court system. As so described in the 2016 Second Listening Conference.

Two committees set up by the Grand Council, with both chairpersons appointed by the Grand Council, had both chairpersons removed and replaced without Grand Council's approval or knowledge. This was a clear violation of the Six Nations constitution. 

It has been reported that one of those new chairpersons appointed, was from the BIA/Seneca Nation of Indians. How was this done and who did this? Whoever was involved in this, needs to be brought before the Grand Council, to explain their actions in this matter. This had to have been done by someone with a Confederacy title position.

These are just some examples of what is reported to be happening now, when the Confederacy does not hold regular Grand Councils.

If anyone is upset or angered by the subjects raised in this article, why have you not brought these subjects to the attention of  the Haudenosaunee Grand Council, yourself? How long has it been since our last Grand Council? An attempt to have Grand Council this past August 2026 failed.

And to those who read this and say these subjects should never have been brought up in a public blog--- they are absolutely right. If regular Grand Councils were being held, the need for this article would never have occurred. This is the current state of affairs of the Six Nations Confederacy.

The United States government and the Canadian government know exactly what's happening now. This is what the end looks like of their 250 year plan to try to destroy and bring an end to the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. 

The destruction of the Great Law of Peace, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy will never occur. The Confederacy was given to the Haudenosaunee people by the Creator.

The control and participation of the Canandaigua Treaty commemoration on November 11, 2025, by the Bureau of Indian Affairs(BIA) elective government of the Seneca Nation of Indians signals yet another possible attempt by the SNI to overthrow the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. And SNI's participation could possibly derail their own lawsuit against New York State for the NYS Thurway crossing their land without payment.

The Seneca Nation of Indians is a BIA agency and not a part of the Haudenossunee Confederacy. SNI voluntarily abandoned the Haudenosaunee Confederacy in 1848. The BIA-SNI has never been a part of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. The Canandaigua Treaty of 1794 was made with the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, also known historically as "The Six Nations". The Bureau of Indian Affairs-Seneca Nation of  Indians was created by the United States government in 1848. 54 years after the signing of the Canandaigua treaty. Not known if this has happened at prior commemorations: When the president of the Seneca nation of Indians, which is a Bureau of Indian Affairs- elected government, participated in this commemoration of 2025. 118.) For centuries, the colonizing white researcher PhD's who studied, wrote books and museum reports on the Haudenosaunee people and culture, have practiced the dehumanizing format of never revealing the names of their indigenous "informants". (25 min. read)

For the most part, this racist format is still in use  and is presenting  itself as one of the highest forms of insidious colonization of the Haudenosaunee people today. There is now at least one university that is addressing this issue. But this issue has never been addressed formally in the public forums, to my knowledge.
