"assimilated Indians" can only speak and act on behalf of other "assimilated indians". I use these sentences to also point out something that must end, because it is speaking untruthfully. That is, the "original"- does not need to have a qualifier or descriptive label applied to itself. It is the "original". When that original is changed or altered, then that "changed original" must have a descriptive label applied to it, to differentiate itself from the original. That is why it is correct to use the term "assimilated Indian". So really, the true description of "unassimilated or non-assimulated Indian" is actually "Indian".
